Mission Failed.

around june of this year, while i was in texas, i walked into the Ralph Lauren store to browse around and get vibed by their terrible customer service when something on the top shelf in the mens section caught my eye. staring back at me with its beautiful straps and gorgeous crest on the front was basically the bag of my dreams and immediately i had visions in my head of all the amazing scenarios in which this bag would make my life so much more glorious. as i came back to reality, a grumpy salesman asked me if i wanted to purchase the bag in which i opted to not get it that moment, secretly making a pact that one day in the near future this bag would belong to me.
i forgot about the bag for a few weeks and when i went to purchase the bag before i moved from texas i came to find out that it has been sold. dismayed i headed back to NYC hoping that i would have better chances at purchasing it at the flagship store. fast forward 4 months and phone calls to over 30+ stores & outlets it seems that this Limited Edition Bag is just to elusive for me(i'd like to also mention that Ralph Lauren sales associates are absolutely clueless when it comes to product knowledge). finally a ray of hope comes along when yesterday evening i find an associate who not only knows what im talking about and can give me proper knowledge he tells me that i can also get a small discount on the bag just as a reward of searching so hard for the bag. this morning i called the flagship to have the bag purchased, the manager takes down all my credit card info promising to find the bag and call me back to go through all the confirmation and shipping details with me. 5 minutes later(which felt like 2 hours) i get a call from the manager telling me that there was a computer error and that the bag actually is completely sold out in the entire company. now with my heart bleeding, i am only left with this picture. IS THERE NO JUSTICE IN THE WORLD???

BEBE croc ankle boots

thanks to a special someone, these amazing ankle boots by bebe were brought to my attention and i felt i had to post them up on here. at first i wasn't too impressed but now they have grown on me and i have a trillion ideas sitting in my head on how i could style outfits centered around this boots. sure YSL has the same exact boot but these seem a bit more appropriate for the current economic times.

Coterie 2009

just headed over to Coterie/Sole Commerce at the Javits Center and i have to say i was really impressed with the show. i've been wanting to go to this tradeshow for quite a few years now and finally i got to see what all the hype was about. i loved how the put the very big a famous fashion houses right next to relatively unknown fashion designers. the one thing i couldnt get over was the denim company sections which were in the lower numbered sections of the tradeshow. i thought we got over premium denim already and Ed Hardyish clothing already?!?!?!

one a side note: a fairly new company to the states, Desigual, made a big splash at Coterie this season. i'm not impressed with any of their clothing myself(way too much color) but apparently their store is a big hit with mostly tourist here in the NYC and you can easily find their bags being paraded on lots of peoples arms around the city(again, mostly tourist).
